Being Supportive As A Gift For Your Artistic Friend

Being supportive of your artistic friend is a gift you can give them that doesn't cost a dime.

Doing art can be a lonely, unrewarding endeavor. A lot of people look at it as something one does as a hobby not as a profession. Unless of course the artist is actually making a good living from it. But lets face it that's not the majority of folks that consider themselves artists.

In fact most of us struggle to make ends meet from month to month or even sell some artwork on a regular bases. Yet we carry on believing that someday people will discover how wonderful our art is and will want it in their homes, museums or galleries.

For most of us doing art is a passion. Something we must do, not just a passing fancy. It's in our very blood. The last thing that we who create art want to hear is, go out and get a real job. This is real to us.

So the next time you're with that creative person in your life let them know that you believe in what they are doing and that you believe that one day they will achieve what they are striving for. Give them the gift of support.
